Thank you so much for volunteering with Freedom German Shepherd Rescue! The success of the rescue would not be possible without the help of our volunteers.  To help ensure the experience is the best one possible for you, the rescue and the foster dogs, we have some basic guidelines outlined below. Your electronic signature at the end of this document is a verification that you understand and will abide by the terms and conditions set forth below by Freedom German Shepherd Rescue.

Volunteer Acknowledgement and Participation:

• I am voluntarily agreeing to serve as an unpaid volunteer for Freedom German Shepherd Rescue.
• I will disclose any physical limitations to the board of directors before participating in any activity. Since I may be interacting with dogs and may be lifting, carrying, moving or otherwise engaging in physical labor, I will be respectful of my own limitations.
• I will treat all Freedom German Shepherd Rescue volunteers, dogs, and members of the public with kindness and respect.
• I acknowledge that I am volunteering for the best interest of Freedom German Shepherd Rescue and the dogs under the care of Freedom German Shepherd Rescue and not for any personal gain or to further any personal agenda. 
• I am responsible for my own acts and omissions. I agree to be legally and financially responsible and will indemnify and hold Freedom German Shepherd Rescue harmless for my own acts and omissions relating to the services that I am voluntarily providing.
• I am responsible for providing my own medical, liability and auto insurance during my volunteer activities. I am not insured in any capacity by Freedom German Shepherd Rescue during the performance of my volunteer duties and tasks.
• I am voluntarily participating in the activities of Freedom German Shepherd Rescue with full knowledge of the risks and dangers involved and hereby agree to accept all risks of injury, death or damage to myself and/or my personal property.
• I will hold Freedom German Shepherd Rescue and its agents harmless in any incident as a result of interacting with a foster dog. “Incident” refers to any damage or injury caused by the foster dog to myself or any other person that the dog comes in contact with while in my care. I understand that this means that I will not seek damages, to include but not limited to judgments, claims, attorney fees, fines, costs and or expenses, as the result of any and all incidents.

Via my electronic signature below, I certify that:

• I am 18 years of age or older.
• I have read and understand the above terms and conditions for volunteering for Freedom German Shepherd Rescue.  I also understand that if I am found in violation of any of these conditions, I may be asked to cease volunteering for Freedom German Shepherd Rescue.

I understand that I am assuming full responsibility for all risks associated with volunteering for Freedom German Shepherd Rescue to include but not limited to injury to pets, property and people.
