Greetings, everyone! My name is Dutchess and I'm a 4 year old, 50 pound German Shepherd who is ready to find her furever family! After I was surrendered to the shelter because my former owner could no longer care for me, the nice people at Freedom German Shepherd Rescue took me in. I am housebroken, crate trained and love playing with other dogs. When other dogs don't like me, I just squeal and roll over to show that I am not a threat. I haven’t met any cats or small children yet, so I don't know how I feel about them. I am a little skittish when meeting new people and will scamper away until I get comfortable. Want to know the secret to making me feel more comfortable? Treats - and lots of them! I am a chow hound, if I do say so myself. My foster mom says that I don't have one mean bone in my body. I will just shower you with kisses! A home with an at least 4 foot high fence would be best for me. Another fun fact about me is that I love shoes. I don't chew on them but I like to collect them.
