Tonka is a very handsome 6-month-old German Shepherd mix that is 40 pounds and growing.  Tonka may be as rough and ready as his name suggests but he is all sweetness and love on the inside!  He is dog and cat friendly. He has not been exposed to kids but no doubt he would LOVE them too.  He is up for any adventure be it hiking in the woods, wrestling with his doggie friends or cuddling on the couch. Tonka is crate trained and pretty much house trained, too.  He will ring the bell at the door when he needs to go out.  He has been exposed to dogs, cats, horses, goats, chickens and so much more and gets along with everyone. He has been an excellent farm pup. Because he has such good recall, he does not need a fenced in yard. We could have named him Rooster as well, as he is always up first in the morning needing potty and ready for the day's adventures!  Tonka is going to be a big boy when he grows up and would love to find a forever home, ideally with another dog and someone who will keep him active and be best friends with.  This is a boy who wants to join in on all the fun and so good tempered he will be a hit wherever he goes, especially with his moderate energy level.
