How would you describe Hefty? Hefty Hefty Hefty!! There is no one word to describe how amazing he is! This 4-year-old, 71 pound German Shepherd grew on me very quickly like no other. At first, he was very shy, but once he warmed up, his shell melted. Hefty has moderate energy but could play all day long. It seems he never gets tired, but when he sits and looks at you right before he gets his daily bone, his eyes will just melt your heart. Hefty can also be a bit mischievous because he loves to explore. His adventures have even taken him out of the fenced area for a solo trip, so a 6 foot fence would be in his best interest. Hefty is so curious about his foster cat friends, but he does not know that they are not toys and chasing them is not nice.  So a cat-free home would make sure he has room to learn and grow without being distracted. Hefty has not been around children, but he loves all people and other dogs! Hefty would be perfect for someone or a family that doesn’t mind putting in the time to watch him shine like the potential that he has! Hefty is crate and house-trained and has proven that he can handle free roaming the house when not at home because he is that awesome!   He’s such an energetic and loving cuddle bug!  Could you be Hefty’s forever home?
