Hi! My name is Akin – my foster mom said it was only fitting since it means “brave warrior”. You may have seen me posted on Freedom’s social media before, but I looked a lot different then! I had demodectic mange so bad that my wounds got infected. But Freedom really took care of me and look at me now!! Aren’t I handsome?! They guess that I’m right around a year old. I weigh 75 pounds and am completely housebroken. I’m working on being crate trained. While I’m hesitant to go in, I settle in quite nicely. But if you want to let me sleep in the bed with you at night, I’m okay with that too!  I am a typical puppy with lots of energy to burn! My favorite is when my foster mom plays fetch or even soccer with me. Because I prefer to be with my pack, a four foot high fence would be fine. I love seeing my furry neighbors through the fence and can’t wait to make friends of my own! I’m really great with my 11 year old canine foster sister, but I’d also welcome a younger dog to play with all the time. Even with my energy level, I’m very gentle and would probably get along well with smaller human siblings. I’m mostly just a happy go-lucky dog! But my foster mom has a cat and I just can’t understand why it doesn’t want me chasing it around the house???  My healing journey has been quite miraculous really. My fur is coming in fast on my face and legs and I’m so ready to join someone’s active family. I love all people, I’m the goodest boy, and I really hope I can find an active family who wants to bring me along for all of the adventures! If you're interested in making me a part of your family, contact your adoption coordinator.
