German Shepherd Dog (medium coat) : : Male (neutered) : : Young
Learn more about the German Shepherd Dog. Hi friends! My name is Sonny, and I am a one-year old gentle giant. They tell me I’m 98 pounds of sweetness, but I’ll shrink myself to fit anywhere for a snuggle. I love meeting new people and dogs of all ages and playing around with my foster fur-brother. My ideal day would be comprised of 30% play and 70% kisses and cuddles. My foster mom says I have a medium energy level and a calm personality; I guess I was not created for extreme sports! I am potty and crate trained and love to go for car rides. I’m still working on mastering commands, but I already know "sit" and "shake" and I am working on "down". I need to improve my leash manners but hey, I’m just a big baby .I would do great in a house with other dogs and children but would also be fine without them, as long as I get lots of love and occasional playtime. Due to my size and affinity for snuggles, I will need to be reminded not to sit on toddlers. I like to chase cats, so I would do better in a home without them. When I am not playing or chilling, I love watching my neighbors out the window or over the fence, hoping they will notice me and say hi! I am a very friendly boy, so I need at least a 4-foot fence that can handle my weight. I’m not a runner but I’m curious and love to meet everyone! I rarely bark, not even at the delivery people (are they not coming into play?!). Are you looking for a full-sized hugger? If so, I’m your boy! Sonny is being fostered in Jacksonville, NC.
