Introducing DUKE 2024 aka Dude! I am DUKE, noble and proud. I am a well-mannered fellow who was taught right from wrong early in my life and so they say I am a joy to foster! I am intelligent, playful, fun-loving, and smart, smart, SMART - a German Shepherd through and through! A little more about me: I am 5 years old, 62 pounds and can you say H-A-N-D-S-O-M-E? I take things in stride. Nothing you humans do shocks or scares me. I am super-trainable. I have loads of energy with an extremely high ball/play drive. I will do anything for a ball and will totally keep my focus on it. You could easily teach me scent work for the fun it would bring us. Because of my need for lots of exercise a fenced yard may be required. In addition to balls, I also like squeaky toys, stuffed toys and rope toys. In fact, I haven’t met a toy I didn’t want to fetch or carry around. While I am good with other dogs and respect cats, it is my human companions that I dote on and want to play with. Once we bond I will follow you everywhere. That said, I live with a female German Shepherd and a fragile 18 year-old cat in my foster home, and we get along fine. I have spent time with small children and did very well with them. My foster parents say I am exceptional and have an energy level to match. Couch potatoes need not apply!
