Are you a fan of Harry Potter? What about German Shepherds? Maybe Golden Retrievers? Okay, at least maybe cute puppies? If so, then you are the family I’m looking for! Hi! My name's Gryffindor, but everyone calls me Gryffin. (yep, you know which Hogwarts house my mom roots for.) My foster mom says I have all the characteristics of a Gryffindor, which are bravery, honor, loyalty and boldness. I am brave because I was found as a stray in a rural county in North Carolina. I didn’t have much time left but the nice people at Freedom GSD Rescue came and saved me! I am very honorable and loyal to my foster family, I love spending time with them! Snuggle time is the best time! And I am bold because I take every situation at its best. I never let anything get me down. What is it called, a happy-go-lucky attitude? My tail never stops wagging! I’m just happy all of the time! I am approximately 1 year old and weigh 55 pounds. The vet estimates I am a German Shepherd and Golden Retriever mix. I am potty trained, house trained, and crate trained. I am low to moderate energy, so you don’t have to worry about running with me 10 miles.   I am happy with a couple of zoomies in the yard and then it’s time for a nap on the couch. Zzzzzzzz. Oh yeah, about the yard, my foster mom says she “recommends a fence” but it's not required.   Something about how I always want to be around my humans but I’m also a little curious; and I can be a little clumsy! I like other dogs, but I also do really well independently. Cats? Never met one, but there’s a first time for everything! I do really well on a leash when we go on walks, and I am learning new obedience commands and working on them daily. I’m a smart cookie (kinda like Heromine.) I haven’t lived with children, but I think I would do well given my smaller stature and loving, goofy nature. I also love going on car rides and adventures, so count me in! If that isn’t enough, I have also been told I look like the dog in the Pixar film, “Up.” Wow! I am just famous, I guess! So anyways, I am now accepting applications for the family who is lucky enough to call me their own, I need to get the Sorting Hat…well never mind, just fill out an application on the website, mom is so lame, she knows we have to use the Sorting Hat! Ravenclaw, Slytherin, & Hufflepuff applicants also accepted!! If you are looking for a companion dog that is low to moderate energy, I am the pup for you! I am very smart and pick up on things quickly,   love to look out of the window and chew on bones; just a very happy pup who wants to make my humans happy.
