Are you looking for someone to snuggle up with and keep you warm this winter season?   Hi! I’m Athena!   I’m a 1 year old, 58 pound, spayed female with long black and tan hair. I’m goofy, very playful, and can sometimes be mischievous. I love to play with my foster dog siblings and love chasing tennis balls (but I don’t know how to drop the ball yet). Once I’m tired of playing, I will leap into your lap and demand snuggles. My foster parents like to tell me that my eyes are so sweet that they will just melt your soul. I’m incredibly curious and want to investigate everything that you’re doing.   I can sometimes be a little skittish at first, but it doesn’t take me long to warm up to new people or dogs. While I’m not a big barker, I do occasionally squeak to express myself with excitement.    I’m house trained, crate trained, and would do best in a home with another dog but I'm so well behaved that I do not require a fenced in yard.   I haven’t really met any cats or kids yet, but due to my moderate energy level, I would probably really like them once I get to know them!
