Hello!   My name is Angel and I do my very best to live up to my name!   As you can see, I'm an adorable 4 year old GSD coming in at a fluffy 50lbs!   My life has been full of ups and downs and I ended up in the wonderful care of FGSR when my dad needed to seek long term medical care and was no longer able to care for me and my fur siblings.   My foster home is pretty great;   a bit of dog Heaven on earth!   There is a big yard to explore, a pond, lots of food and treats!   There are a lot of other animals here too!   Several dogs, cats, horses, goats and other little critters I have not seen before!   I do really great getting along with all the others and I don't bother the cats and others at all!   My foster family thinks I am well ... an Angel! Honestly, I’m kind of an old soul and though I occasionally get spunky and play with the other dogs, I prefer to be alone or with my human.   My ideal home would be relatively quiet and calm. I am not sure I would enjoy young children, but older respectful ones would be good!   Another fur friend or two are nice but I would be content being an only pet. Because I am so calm, I do not need a fenced in yard. I am completely housebroken!   My foster family tried to crate train me and for the most part I was pretty good but it's not my favorite thing and since my house manners are excellent my foster family doesn't bother with the crate anymore!   My only other quirk is that I am afraid of storms!   They just make me nervous, and I will seek out a quiet place and the comfort of my family.   I have NOT been destructive at all during the storms while with my foster family; I just like to curl up next to my Mommy and have her lay with me.   So if you know storms are in the forecast, if you put me in an area without windows (or with windows with heavy coverings) and play music or the TV to distract me from the sounds, I will do great.   You can even include a Kong with treats or something for added distraction and stay with me if you can!   If you are looking for a dog that is Heaven sen, I am your Angel!   My foster family says my halo sparkles bright!   If you are interested in making me a part of your family, please contact your adoption coordinator.
