Hi! My name is Ava and I am a beautiful 5 year old, 76 pound, female German Shepherd.   Freedom GS Rescue pulled me from a shelter after I went there because my human died.   My foster mom says I am smart, very sweet, and I acclimated quickly to my foster home. I really love people, belly rubs, and treats.   I love walking with her to visit the horses, pigs and chickens and always behave respectfully around them. I would like to play with the other rescued dogs, but some aren’t too sure about me yet. I have met one of the cats as well, and did ok, but I still like to chase it so I would probably not do well in a home with one.   I don’t mind sharing my toys, am very agile and can hop up on almost anything so I can get a better view! As long as i am supervised outside, I do not need a fence. I have not had the opportunity to be around small children, so we aren’t sure how I would feel around them. I love going for walks and interacting with humans and would probably do best with people who are active. I ride in the car like a champ!   Though my foster mom works, I am okay being home with the pack and love when the dog walker comes to spend time with me during the day. My foster mom thinks I would do best with an active family and people who are home more than not because of how much I love being around my people. Now that i have been in my foster home for a little, I am actually fairly chill. I am housebroken, and have been an excellent house guest!   I listen very well and would love my forever home soon!
