Meet Maverick!   This beautiful boy is around a year old and weighs approximately 65lbs.   He is a goofy guy and will keep you on your toes.   He’s very smart, but can be a little stubborn at times.   He knows “sit”, is working on “down” and we’ve recently started “leave it” since he’s a self proclaimed vacuum that likes to sniff things out.   He’s also housebroken and hasn’t ever had an accident inside.   Maverick will do best with a fenced-in yard and no farm animals as he has a very high prey drive.   He loves....and I mean loves, to play ball so his training is much easier with a ball rather than food.   Next to playing ball, playing with other dogs is his second favorite thing to do (males or females, Maverick doesn't care as long as they like to run and play, too).   He thinks he needs to be friends with everyone, so he can be a bit vocal on walks if he sees other dogs.   We are slowly learning that not every potential doggy friend wants to be yelled at from across the street. Maverick is currently living with a cat and he can be a bit much for her.   With some training and consistency he may be better, but as of now he doesn’t want to leave her alone, he wants to play. He is a friendly boy and will let anyone and everyone give him love and attention.  We’re still working on manners though, so he will jump up and potentially knock down smaller children.  He enjoys going on adventures and much prefers to tag along instead of being left alone.  He even loves the car ride to get there!  Staying home in his crate isn’t his favorite place to be.
