Athena is the sweetest 65 pound, 2 year old girl you’ll ever meet!   She loves people! Athena was brought to us with her nine puppies from the shelter in May.   She was a great momma, and now that her puppies are done feeding (and she’s healthy + spayed), she’s looking for her fur-ever home!   Athena is dog friendly. She would do well either joining a pack or being a solo dog.   Athena is crated when we aren’t home, but sleeps outside of the crate at night without issue. She hasn’t met any cats, so we aren’t sure how she would do with them. She loves to spend time in the yard, napping on the couch, and walking around the neighborhood.   Athena gets VERY excited when she sees other dogs on a leash and she can become quite vocal about it.   She just wants to let everyone know that there’s a new friend across the way.   We are working on teaching her to use a quieter voice when we make new friends. She is a fast learner and is treat motivated, so with some consistency she will be a gem.   She is being fostered in Southern Pines, NC.
