Meet Ruby!   Ruby is an adorable and rambunctious female shepherd mix who is a little over a year old and weighs in at right around 50 lbs.   From the moment Ruby arrived at her foster home she has been the sweetest girl who just wants all the love an attention she can get.   She is definitely the kind of dog that will curl up with you (or sometimes more correctly on you) on the couch and snuggle- but not before sneaking in a few kisses.   She still has some of her puppy energy though and loves to play. Give her a safe space to run outside and she will show you some good old-fashioned zoomies as she sprints back and forth.   One of her favorite past times while inside is finding a nice window to sit in front of and watching all the people outside, though we are still working on looking at the people without letting out a few little barks.  She has gotten along quite well with her two foster sisters (both much older dogs), but we think she would do just fine without another dog in the house and would probably enjoy getting all of the attention.  She has been great around kids and gets along well with her 3-year-old human foster brother.  Ruby sleeps at night in her crate and does quite well in there when her people are around, but is still not so comfortable in her crate for long periods of time alone.  She is working on being calmer by herself but may struggle if required to be in there for long periods of time alone.  She listens quite well and knows her basic commands and we have begun giving her some off leash freedoms around the yard which she has responded well to.  Ruby has been completely accident free during her time at her foster home and has even started working on ringing a bell on the back door to let you know she needs to go out- she is certainly a smart one.
