Hi world!   I’m Loki, an 80lb, two year old shepherd boy!   I am young, so naturally I have a lot of energy.   I recently went through heartworm treatment, so I had to take it easy for awhile; but now I’ve recovered and I’m ready to go.   My foster mom frequently runs with me and she says I’m the best running partner!   If running isn’t your thing then I will definitely need other physical/mental activities to keep me occupied. I really enjoy playing ball and I love playing with other dogs!   Male, female, small, large, it doesn’t matter.   I’m friends with everyone.   I have been living with a cat, too, and it has been a process. I no longer chase her, but still find her quite interesting.   I do love to chase bunnies, though, so be prepared to correct me when we are out for a walk.   I really enjoy going on adventures, especially the car ride to get there. I’m friendly with everyone, so going in public is fine with me!   It just means I get to meet more people!   I really like kids, but I’m a big boy who’s very strong.   I can also be a little mouthy when I’m excited, so it may be best if I go to a home with older kids.    I know sit, down and have a good recall.   My foster mom has been working with me on my manners, but I still have room to improve, so I’ll need someone who’s willing to work with me and teach me boundaries.   I am food motivated, but have a short attention span, so training can be a little challenging at times.   I am house broken and crate trained, but do well when left out of it.   I am being fostered near Raleigh, NC.   If you’re looking for a goofy, energetic boy and you think I might be the right fit for you, then please reach out to your adoption coordinator.   If you do not yet have an adoption coordinator, please complete an adoption application at www.freedomgermanshepherdrescue.org. *Our volunteers process applications as quickly as they can, however it can take a little time.
