Everyone, meet Diego! He is a handsome, one year old, 85 pound, German Shepherd boy He was an outdoor dog before he came to Freedom, but he has quickly adapted to living inside the house. He will pick up laundry or towels if it’s on the floor, but won’t chew on it; he just likes to carry it around. He LOVES toys, although he is a destroyer of tennis balls and cotton toys. He hasn’t been able to chew through a KONG ball yet, so I’d say those are his favorite. He knows how to sit and is currently working on stay and lie down. He is full of energy and wants to play all the time! He loves car rides, hiking and exploring new places. He does pull a little on the leash, but he has gotten better in the few weeks that I’ve had him. He is housebroken and behaves well most of the time when left alone, without a crate.   He will get into the garbage can, though, so it’s recommended you crate him or pick that up before you leave the house. He hasn’t been around cats, so I’m not sure how he would react, although he is dog friendly! He hasn’t lived with children while in rescue, but he has met them out in public and did very well. He just soaks up the attention. Overall, he’s a very loving boy who is ready to find his forever home! Diego is being fostered near Fayetteville, NC.
