Hi, my name is Vader! If you’re a Star Wars fan, or even if you’re not, I might be the perfect dog for you! At 18 months old, I’m 29 inches at the shoulder and weigh 90 pounds. I’m probably the gentlest giant you will ever meet… Not at all like Darth Vader! I’m very easygoing and love to play,  especially with other dogs. My foster parents think I would do best in a home with another medium to large sized dog. I get really excited when it’s play time, and if there’s someone to do it with, I could run and play all day!  I also love walking around with my stuffed animals. There are two cats in my foster home. I haven’t spent much time with them because they are scared of how big I am, but I’ve shown no aggression towards them. I just think they are interesting! I love to eat, and have been eating three meals a day since I arrived at my foster home.  My foster mom says I need to gain some weight.  I like the treats I’ve had so far, and am very gentle about taking them from human hands. I’m completely house trained and have had no accidents. I love to go for walks, and am great on a leash. I know some basic commands, like “sit,” and “paw,” and am learning to “come” and “stay.” I’m extremely trainable because I really want to please my humans! I easily share my food, treats, and toys with other dogs and humans. My perfect family would have at least one other medium to large sized dog for me to play with and be around when my owner isn’t home. I get very lonely and sad if someone isn’t around. If a person is around most of the day, that’s even better! I’m very good with all kids but sometimes I get excited and might bump over small ones because I am so big. I don’t mouth at all though, and have good manners. I’m not a huge fan of the crate.
