Hey everyone! Meet Donkey! This sweet guy is around 3 or 4 years old and weighs around 80 pounds. We don’t know much about his history, but we believe he had never been in a home until now. In the few short weeks we’ve had him, he’s completely adapted to living in a house and can easily climb the stairs, sleep through   the night, and does amazing in the crate. He is potty trained as well. He loves meeting new dogs and people! When he meets new dogs, he just wags his tail and tries to play.   He does occasionally take treats very quickly but responds very well to ‘easy’ and is much better with it. I would say he has moderate energy and doesn’t need a lot of exercise to keep him happy. He loves to go in the car for adventures and does very well in public. He is extremely sweet and loves to be brushed and cuddled! He will jump up on the couch every now and then for a snooze. Donkey does have a very slight limp from arthritis in his right elbow, but with joint supplements, we’ve already seen an improvement!   He would do great in a home either as an only dog or with other dogs as well! He has also done well with kids that he’s met. We aren’t sure how he would do with cats.   He walks well on a leash once he gets all of his sniffs in but will pull until he is satisfied. Donkey is such a great dog with an amazing temperament and will be a wonderful addition to a family! Donkey is being fostered in Charlotte, NC.
