Hi! My name is Maddie! I am around two years old and weigh 30 pounds. I may be small, but I am a bundle of energy. I have come a long way since I came into my foster home. I spent most of my life living outside, so I am pretty timid when I am introduced to new things, and my first reaction is to run and hide. With time I adjust well and my foster parents always tell me I’m a good girl! It may take me a few days to warm up to you, but I’m just taking in all my surroundings! I promise that knowing me will be worth the wait! My favorite place to be is my crate; it is my home, and I will need a place of my own in my forever home. I am working on potty training, but I’m proud to say I haven’t had an accident in two weeks! I have been working on my manners and my foster mom has been teaching me how to walk on a leash without pulling. I’ll be honest I have so much energy that I’ll need some guidance and training in my new home. When I’m not in my crate I can be found zooming around the house playing with my two foster brothers. They may be bigger than me, but I keep up just fine! I warmed up to them faster than I did my foster parents. They taught me that humans are pretty nice after all. We love to tumble around the living room and share chew toys. I would do best in a forever home with a fellow dog to play with. I’m not sure how I feel about cats, but my foster parents think I would do just fine after I had time to meet them. Once you get to know me you will realize I am the sweetest little girl. I love pets under my chin and getting treats. The way to my heart is through a good piece of chicken. I would be a great addition to any family.I am being fostered in Durham, NC.
