Hello! My name is Noelle. I came into the rescue the week before Christmas so my foster mom thought it was appropriate to give me a Christmas-y name. I  am about 2 years old and weigh around 60 pounds. While I may be small, I am very strong and determined! I had a lot to learn when I made it to my foster home and was very nervous and timid of everything. You see, I had lived outside for a long time, so living in a house was new to me and it took me awhile to figure out that I really love being a house doggo! It even took me several days to warm up to my foster mom and to not be scared to come out of my crate. Now, I love my foster mom and have to be near her at all times. My foster mom has been working with me on being house trained and I have made some really good progress but I have such a hard time focusing because all I want to do is run and play. I am fully crate trained, I sleep and eat in my crate. I am still a work in progress on being potty trained but I am having less and less accidents in the house, so that's good! My foster mom thinks that I know how to "sit" but I have so much energy and just can't sit still for very long and don't always listen to her when she tells me to sit for a treat...I like treats but I like playing and running more. I am working on being leash trained - I like to pull some but have plenty of energy for however long of a walk that you want to go on. My foster mom hasn't tried running with me, she says that she doesn't run, but she thinks I would make a great running partner too! I L.O.V.E toys and anything else I can get in my mouth, like dish rags, socks, shoes, small rugs, etc. I am a toy destroyer...I will chew on a toy until it just explodes, it is my favorite thing to do! I haven't chewed a hole in any dish rags, clothing items, or rugs, yet...I just like running around with them in my mouth. I am a bit of a hoarder too...I like to take stuff back to my crate and save it for later. You never know when you might get bored and I want to make sure to have something to keep me entertained.   In  addition to my foster mom, I live with my three canine foster siblings. Two of them are kind of mean to me and I don't know why, so I don't really interact with them. I love to bounce around and play with the other one though! That is a lot of fun! From what my foster mom can tell, I would do best in a home where I have a playmate that I can run and play with just because I have so much energy all the time. There’s a video of my antics in the comments! I like to climb chain length fences like a spider monkey so I need a home with a 6 foot tall privacy fence to prevent me from being able to get out. I get really nervous when my foster mom tries to take me anywhere and I just want to hide, so she wasn't able to properly cat test me so I don't know what I would think about a cat— but with proper introductions to a dog savvy cat, I would probably be ok. I have been around smaller humans too, I get nervous with too much excitement going on and like to hang out in my crate until things calm down and then I will venture out to see what is going on. My foster mom tells me all the time that I am a very sweet girl and I am going to make a family of my own very happy one day...and I really hope that day is very soon!   If you are ready to add a ball of energy to your family, then I am the girl for you! I am being fostered near Goldsboro, NC. If you think you are my perfect fit, please contact your adoption coordinator.  If you do not yet have an adopter coordinator, please complete an adoption application at www.freedomgermanshepherdrescue.org.   *Our volunteers process applications as quickly as they can, however it can take a little time. For this reason, the specific dog you apply for may not be available by the time your application is processed. If that happens we will do our best to find another perfect match for your family.*
