This is Maurice. He is approximately 5 months old and weighs 34 pounds. He is allll puppy and wants to play all day! Maurice has a lot of energy and would do great with an active family who can give him lots of exercise. He was found as a stray but has adjusted great inside of our house. He has had very few accidents and has learned to let us know when he needs to go potty outside. He has slowly adjusted to the crate, which is where he sleeps and stays in when we leave. He will bark/whine at first but calms down very quickly. Maurice is still learning how to walk on the leash but is happiest when he is right next to his foster brother. He is very food motivated and looks forward to all of his meals. Maurice has already learned how to "sit," and we are working on "stay" and "paw." Maurice is still teething and loves chewing on things, so we keep him occupied with plenty of toys. He will try to steal shoes if you let him! He loves messing with his foster brother and loves meeting new people. He does tend to bark at both people and dogs when they are at a distance but then stops when he is able to meet them. Maurice was tested with a cat and was not reactive towards it. He has also met a toddler with no issues although he may knock small children down by accident! Maurice would love another doggy companion that he could play with but could also adjust to being the only dog. He is being fostered near Charlotte, NC.
