Hello! My name is Benny and I am the definition of a “gentle giant.” I am a 3 1/2 year old, 75lb German Shepherd mix. I love everyone I come in contact with and thrive on affection. I love playing with other dogs once I have had proper introductions. I am also cat friendly, but sometimes forget that cats don’t play like dogs. You will most likely always find me with a toy in my mouth or near me. I can be a little protective over my toys and will bark or jump at another dog if they come near me (I don’t want to hurt them, just remind them that it’s my toy), I also do this with my food. I am quite the explorer so a leash is recommended if a fence isn’t available. I am crate trained and my mom says I need to use it when my people aren’t home because I like to chew things I shouldn’t. I’d rather go on all of the adventures with you so it does take a little coaxing for me to go in. I love my people so much that I just tend to miss them when they leave. I am also housebroken. I may be a big boy, but I still get scared at times.. like when it storms. I do okay, I just require a little extra attention when the thunder is loud. I bond well with children and can be a little protective of them when around other dogs. My foster parents are very sad to see me go but know that I will make a special family extremely happy.
