Meet Jasmine, aka Jazzy! Jazzy is around a year old German Shepherd. She is only 50 pounds due to her having a litter of pups at around 8-9 months old. She came to us not knowing how a dog was supposed to live. She came to the rescue to hopefully find her furever family that she well deserves. Jazzy absolutely loves people, especially men. She will jump on every person she sees with excitement even though we’ve been trying to train her not to jump. She gets so excited and happy to meet new people. Even when you get home from work, she’ll act like she hasn’t seen you in a month. Jasmine is crate trained and house trained. She will lay on the couch and cuddle up to you, but will respect your wishes if you don’t want her on the furniture. Her one floppy ear and sad face may make you rethink that When it comes to toys, Jazzy will go absolutely crazy and go to town on some bones. She also loves ropes, but needs to be supervised as she will want to eat them She loves to run outside, so a backyard is definitely ideal for her. She will also eat leaves and sticks, so she will need to be supervised while outside. Jazzy has lived with our family that currently has 2 other dogs. Although she does fine with them, she tries to boss them around and is still learning how to play without being too much for them. She does take correction well from her fur siblings though. We have been told that she is cat friendly but we have not had her around any since we have had her. The ideal family for Jasmine will be patient with her, as she is still learning normal dog things and how to have manners. A family that will continue training with her. A family that will be there for her when the neighbors light off fireworks and she’s scared. A family that will give her nightly night-night treats.
