Learn more about the German Shepherd Dog. Hello, my name is Loki and I am an 82 pound ball of fun. I am believed to be a 3-year-old German Shepherd mix. The first thing most people notice about me is my big brown eyes and waggy tail. I was found wandering a country back road. My foster family doesn’t know my back story, but they think I might have been dumped out in a field because my previous owners didn’t want me anymore. The ideal family for me would be someone who can be as energetic as I am and take me on walks or dog park play dates. If you are looking for a jogging buddy, I am your man! I am very food motivated and love to please people but can be stubborn at times when I am feeling a little lazy. I am good with other dogs but have not been tested with cats, small dogs or young children. I am learning to play with other dogs, and I can’t believe I missed out on so much fun all this time. We are still working on how mouthy I am but that is because I wasn’t ever taught boundaries when I was growing up. It's just my way of showing affection. I am potty trained and know how to use the dog door all by myself! I am a very smart boy and love to keep my brain working. My foster parents got me a treat puzzle that I really love! I would definitely need things that challenge me and keep me from being bored! I hope to meet my fur-ever family very soon! I would love to have a family of my very own that will continue to work with me to become the best version of myself. If you think you can offer me my furever home, please contact your adoption coordinator. If you do not yet have an adoption coordinator, please complete an adoption application at www.freedomgermanshepherdrescue.org. I am being fostered near Fayetteville, NC.
