Looking for a 90 pound lap dog? Zeus is your guy! He is a is a 1.5 year old GSD mix who is full of energy and love. Generally, Zeus is the very definition of a Velcro dog who LIVES for attention from his people, although a case of the zoomies is not unheard of. For homes with other dogs, his foster family thinks he will be just fine as long as introductions are handled slowly, and his new friends understand that his crate, is HIS. Zeus hasn’t had the opportunity to meet any potential kitty friends, but judging from his reaction to squirrels, any potential new fur friends would need to be dog savvy and introduced with caution. When Zeus came to his foster family from the shelter, he was a bit unsure of his new surroundings. They think he may not have spent a lot of time indoors, and may have endured some mistreatment. He is perfectly house trained but was fascinated by the noises of everyday family activities inside the house. He is learning to not be scared by the noises, likes watching tv and is learning that some toys and bones are meant just for him. Zeus is hesitant to get into a car. Once in the car he rides just fine. After a trip to the park for a nice long walk Zeus hopped right in. With continued regular car rides to fun places Zeus’s foster family believes he will overcome this. Zeus is treat motivated and has learned to go into his crate when told. Zeus will be happiest in a home with older children who have experience with big goofy puppies in adult dog bodies.
