My name is Milo and I'm a 10 month old male GSD who is ready to spend the rest of my years playing and snuggling as much as possible! I am fully house-trained and will bark and let you know when I really have to go. I am also fully crate trained and don't mind being in the crate for several hours at a time throughout the day. I'm not at all food driven, I just want all of the love you will give me. I know most of the basic commands (sit, lay down) but am still working on impulse control and staying in one place. I love to be around people I know and even love to meet new people. Sometimes I scare people with my bark when we first meet, but I warm up to people really quickly. I have played with many different dogs with no problems but I'm still a puppy, so sometimes I can be a little too much for older dogs. I do really well with playing with only the toys that I know are ok for me to play with and I love when I can chew on bones. I get around really well with three legs (please scroll through the pictures of my bio to read through my journey!) and am working on learning how to run. Don't worry, when I see a squirrel, I can pick up and GO! I need a little more down time, but I’m almost ready to start going on walks. I haven't tried stairs just yet since I've been healing from my surgery, but my foster mom is sure I would do great with a little assistance and training. (Please note that at some point in the future I may need to have a hip replacement. At this point in time we aren’t sure of if or when it would be needed). I would do really well in a house where my parents will continue my training. My foster mom says I can be a little stubborn--I like to talk back when I'm frustrated or when she won't let me do something I want to do. I love kids and am very gentle but I am still working on not being so mouthy. I love to learn new things and just like many GSDs, I like to be wherever my people are. My foster mom says she can't wait to find me a home that I can call my own because she knows I will make someone a perfect companion! I am being fostered near Charlotte, NC.
