~~Hi! My name is Margot!

I am a beautiful and sweet, three year old German Shepherd girl that loves to be near people. My foster Dad says we should have named me "shadow". When I came to my foster home I wasn't used to sharing food with other dogs but I am learning. I love to play with my foster sisters and brother. They are teaching me a lot about manners, going to the bathroom and SQUIRRELS!

I'm very motivated by food as I didn't have a lot of food at my last location. I'm a fast learner and am really eager to please. I can be timid because I'm not used to a lot of human interaction and I am anxious around children. I would do well as an only dog or with a companion. My foster parents see that I may have some "alpha" characteristics and I would be a great protector of my people, though I have mellowed some since being spayed. I have learned to "sit" and "lay down" and I walk very well at your side. I'm even starting to play with the ball!!

I don't like being in a crate but am well behaved when I sleep in the dog bed and am housebroken. I'm a little thin right now and I am used to having to look for food so I'm not completely sure that my foster Mom and Dad are going to continue to feed me so I am still looking for opportunities for food, just in case. I think though, they are going to feed me and I will not need to do this in the future. They call it my "survival instinct".
