Learn more about the German Shepherd Dog. ~~Hercules! Hercules! Hercules! No, I’m not named after a Klump from The Nutty Professor. I’m actually named after the Hercules military aircraft because I’m a very strong boy. I was surrendered to the shelter because my original owner's girlfriend didn't like me. I still love my original owner even though he let me go. My foster mom says that's what make dogs special - we love unconditionally. Any who, I’m about a year old and weigh 80 pounds. I am energetic, love playing with other dogs and am not food or toy aggressive. One of my favorite things to do is play with my fur foster brother. We love to chase each other and roll around on the ground together. I don’t need another dog to keep me company but I do really like having one. Don’t tell anyone, but I also really like crawling into my foster mom’s lap for snuggles and pets. I like everyone I meet to include children but think I would do best in a home with older children because when my foster mom stops petting me, I like to nibble on her fingers to get her to pet me some more. My foster mom says that’s not nice so she’s teaching me not to do that. I’m also size and strength unaware so I might accidentally knock little ones over. I haven’t met any cats yet so I don’t know how I would do with them. My foster mom is working on my manners because every once in a while, I like to put my paws up on the sink when she’s not looking. I’m not destructive around the house and only get on the furniture when I’m invited. I almost forgot to tell you that I take treats gently and am food motivated. Think you can offer me my furever home? I am being fostered near Fayetteville.
