~~Hiiiii!!! My name is Moose. I’m a 13 month old, 80 pound German Shepherd! My foster mama named me Moose because, well.... I’m big like one. :) I know we haven’t met yet, but I already love you! I’m just such a happy, loving pup who’s excited to meet any new face. Pretty much anyone I meet gets to see my belly right off the bat because I just looooove belly rubs! I was surrendered to the shelter because I was not getting enough attention, so I ran away :( My friends at Freedom guess they left me outside and ignored me, like a lot.  When I was a puppy, they didn’t feel like training me and I think they lost patience for me over time. My foster mama was so confused by this, because even after just ONE week of being with her, I’ve already learned some basic commands like “sit”,  “down”, and can walk without meandering on a leash! I may still pull a bit on walks, because I don’t realize how strong I am! I’m also house trained and haven’t had any indoor accidents. Crates make me nervous because I associate them with the shelter, but if you help me learn it’s a safe space and not a punishment, I’ll be much more comfortable in one. I haven’t learned how to play fetch yet, but it sounds like soooo much fun!! It would be a great way to get my energy out. It will be a great encouragement to stay tidy, because I really love to chew. Anything on the floor will probs go in my mouth, but if you make sure to get me some good chew toys and let me know what you DON’T want me to chew on, I’ll learn quickly what’s ok to nibble & what's not. :) I’m very friendly to people of all ages and dogs of all sizes. I showed too much interest in the cats at the shelter, so it would probably not be a good idea to have me around them.  I may seem a bit intimidating because of my size at first, but I promise I’m just full of love.  I looove to protect my friends, so I’ll probably want to follow you around and always have eyes on you. I just want you to feel safe :) Sometimes I get in these moods where I just wanna love on you SOOO much, that I may start to jump and give you love bites. All I need in that moment is for you to sit down, give me lots of rubs and tell me how good of boy I am :) On that note, I sure hope you like to snuggle! If you let me, I’ll cuddle you allllll night long... I’ll probably even spoon you! Oh, and here’s an added bonus: I’m proud to announce that my dental hygiene is on point!!
