~~Everyone meet Yankee! Yankee is a 31 pound, very sweet, laid back five month old male. He's happy playing with the other dogs in the house or snuggling with the kids. He likes to hang out in the barn while his foster parents are feeding the horses and does not chase the horses or chickens. Yankee knows sit and has learned to sit for attention and not jump. Yankee is house trained if kept on a consistent schedule. Although he is scared of the dark, leaving a muted tv on comforts him if he needs to be alone at night. Yankee is mostly kennel trained and willingly goes in for a nap on his own. He is crated when his foster parents leave the house. Yankee is still learning to walk on a leash and still needs to gain weight as he is still a growing boy. Yankee eats well, but is more of a grazer. Yankee is extremely quiet and rarely barks or whines (except when he's in pitch black rooms). Yankee loves kids, has been with dogs his size and larger and farm animals although he's not been around smaller dogs.  Yankee is a quick learner and is already so smart.  Because he is such a cuddly puppy both with people and other dogs, we feel Yankee would do best in a home with a companion animal.  Interested in making Yankee a permanent member of your family?  Please fill out an adoption application.
