My name is Alexie (a.k.a. Alexie Lou or “Lou” by my foster mom) and I am a sweet yet sassy girl with an effervescent personality and an attitude to match!  I am a 4 year old, 63 pound German Shepherd that was found in the country. My foster mom took me in and tried to find my former family for months without any luck. That's when my journey to find a new furever family began.    I enjoy playing with my foster brother and relaxing in the sun. I'm told that I grumble in my sleep. I am vocal and talk back to my foster mom(lol) but I can tell if she’s having a rough day and will snuggle up with her to make her smile.  I love my cat and chicken brothers and sisters, but don’t understand why they won’t play with me. I get along with all dogs and children, large and small. I am housebroken and crate trained and can be trusted to free roam when no one is home.  My ideal home is one with a fenced-in yard and a formidable playmate or two. I'm a relatively chill dog but do need either playtime with another dog or other daily exercise to help me be my best.
